Belridge Senior High School opened in 1991 and is a world class facility with architectural award winning buildings located on Ocean Reef Road, Beldon, some 25 kilometress NNW of Perth.

The educational facilities include a fully integrated computer network linking students to the world. Computer laboratories in the technical graphic, visual art, information technology and library areas complement mini computing laboratories in each learnning area. Students have access to the air-conditioned library and performing arts centre. The state of the art Technology and Enterprise learning area has facilities such as a motors and marine workshop, commercial catering facilities and business office equipment. The sporting facilities include a full-size gymnasium, fitness centre, climbing wall and extensive basketball, tennis, netball, hockey, soccer, football, and cricket grounds.

This attracts students from Currambine, Connolly, Poseidon, Joondalup, Yanchep, Edgewater, Craigie, Mullalooo, Heathridge, Eddystone and Beldon schools. Many other students are attracted to the school by its success and are enrolled from outside the catchment area.

QTS for teachers qualified in Aus. and NZ

The Department for Education have now confirmed that as of April 1st 2012, teachers whom have qualified in Australia and New Zealand will now be recognised as qualified teachers and awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England without being required to undertake any further training or assessment.

As well as being eligible to work in the UK, overseas trained teachers (OTTs) will need to have a fully recognised teaching qualification and, in some instances, registration from their country of origin. Teachers can apply for UK Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) by completing the following form:
