Sevenoaks Senior College presents a fresh new approach to senior schooling in Western Australia. The College caters for up to 500 Year 11 and Year 12 students from across the metropolitan area. The College is located opposite the Cannington train station. It is the local school for students from Cannington and Maddington areas.

The College has several unique features:
* information technologies are the key to the delivery of programs
* all students - whether bound for further study at university of TAFE, or direct entry to employment are encouraged to undertake enterprise and vocationally orientated studies
* innovative school-industry links means students gain many new opportunities (including School-Based Traineeships)
* some programs incorporate units from universities and TAFE colleges.

Sevenoaks Senior College offers a suite of programs involving comprehensive TEE subjects, Wholly School Assessed subjects, new Courses of Study, Industry Access programs that include Beauty, Business, Retail, Automotive, Building and Construction, Metals and Hospitality (involving TAFE and College studies). Sevenoaks has a successful Fast Track infrastrucutre in the form of the Canning Skills suite of programs. Sevenoaks also has a complrehensive Follow the Dream program for our Aboriginal students.

QTS for teachers qualified in Aus. and NZ

The Department for Education have now confirmed that as of April 1st 2012, teachers whom have qualified in Australia and New Zealand will now be recognised as qualified teachers and awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England without being required to undertake any further training or assessment.

As well as being eligible to work in the UK, overseas trained teachers (OTTs) will need to have a fully recognised teaching qualification and, in some instances, registration from their country of origin. Teachers can apply for UK Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) by completing the following form:
