Essendon Keilor College, a large 7-12 school of three campuses. The educational program of Essendon Keilor College is designed to ensure that students achieve a high level of success throughout their secondary years of schooling and leave school well prepared for further study and work.

Our two junior campuses, at Niddrie and East Keilor, have been developed to meet the special needs of students in Years 7 to 10. Both campuses provide excellent transition programs to ensure the students move comfortably from primary to their new secondary school. A high priority is given to student management and the junior campuses are structured to give teams of staff the opportunity of working closely with groups of students. This enables teachers to closely monitor student performance and behaviour and to work with parents to support the learning of their students. Students are exposed to a comprehensive curriculum, and have many opportunities to participate in an extensive extra curricula program involving sport, drama, camps, socials, and a strong instrumental music program.

In Years 11 and 12 our students progress to the VCE Campus in Essendon where they have access to an extensive range of VCE, VET and VCAL programs. While at the VCE Campus, students benefit from exposure to the young adult learning environment where they learn to take responsibility for their VCE studies. The campus has a team of student services staff who work with co-ordinators to assist students in preparing for their post secondary school pathways as well as supporting them during the challenging VCE years. Our VCE students benefit greatly from working with our highly experienced staff and they enjoy participating in the extensive extra curricular programs. There are also programs which cater for students who need support in their transition from school to tertiary study and the work force. Each year approximately 150 students from outside the College also enrol at the Essendon Campus to gain access to our wide diversity of programs.
