Alexandra Secondary College is committed to providing its students with the knowledge and outlook they need to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. It offers its students a broad education in a supportive environment. We have a proud tradition of academic and sporting achievement.

Alexandra Secondary College is situated in the rural township of Alexandra in North - Eastern Victoria. Students come from Marysville, Eildon, Thornton, Molesworth, Buxton, Narbethong, Taggerty, Rubicon, Yarck, Alexandra and Merton. The economic base of the surrounding communities that the College serves are primarily in the areas of tourism, forestry, agriculture and government services.

The well maintained buildings, primarily of the late 1950's construction, are set in spacious garden settings and sporting grounds and feature an architect designed library / resource centre, art wing, extensive computer facilities, an assembly hall with a cafeteria / dining area, a community centre and technical facilities.

Alexandra Secondary College curriculum provides for a common program at Years 7 and 8 in each of the key learning areas of study. Year 9 and 10 undertake core studies in Mathematics and English and elect studies from the other learning areas.

QTS for teachers qualified in Aus. and NZ

The Department for Education have now confirmed that as of April 1st 2012, teachers whom have qualified in Australia and New Zealand will now be recognised as qualified teachers and awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England without being required to undertake any further training or assessment.

As well as being eligible to work in the UK, overseas trained teachers (OTTs) will need to have a fully recognised teaching qualification and, in some instances, registration from their country of origin. Teachers can apply for UK Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) by completing the following form:
