Maffra Secondary College is a co-educational Year 7 – 12 school in the Gippsland town of Maffra, 220 kilometres east of Melbourne. The district relies heavily on farming and farming-related industry.

The school enjoys the benefits and accepts the responsibilities of being a valued contributor to life in Maffra, the rural townships of Boisdale, Briagolong, Heyfield, Stratford, and the surrounding districts. The curriculum aims to cater for a student population drawn from thirteen feeder schools, reflecting a wide range of social and economic backgrounds. Well established connections with these schools, through teacher visits, a transition group and resource sharing, link us to our local community.

The school has a tradition of community support and involvement with a strong Parents’ Club, committed Council and direct participation of parents in working bees, camps, excursions, fundraising, canteen operation, social, senior prom and debutante ball, learning assistance programs and the frequent provision of trade and professional advice.
