Sandgate District State High School – one of Queensland’s most innovative schools where students, staff and parents enjoy the benefits of a school with an excellent reputation in the local and Queensland-wide community. In an atmosphere of care, consideration, cooperation and mutual respect, we concern ourselves with the achievements of every student. As such we aim to develop the capacity of each student in the academic, sporting and cultural areas.

Our school is seen as a benchmark school visited by others in order to gain first-hand experience of our successful programs. Our innovation, excellence and tradition are carefully crafted into a world-class educational experience for students.

Yet, Sandgate is about much more than this. What makes us special is our people - our culture of respect, our appreciation of difference, our focus on active participation, opportunity and open communication, and our huge commitment to the development of socially responsible citizens.
