Redbank Plains is a co-educational facility. There are currently about 1150 pupils attending our school across Years 8-12. Our school is in a period of relative enrolment stability. Enrolments have remained between 1120 and 1180 for the last three years.
Redbank Plains State High School was established in 1987 and is located on the eastern side of the Ipswich City Council area. It services the suburbs of Redbank Plains, Bellbird Park, Collingwood Park, Redbank, Riverview, Gailes and Goodna. These suburbs range from new residential areas to older suburbs with much public housing located there. There is significant current and future growth in these areas. It is expected that this will impact on enrolments during the next few years.
While near a major city, Redbank Plains is made remote by a lack of adequate public transport, limited cultural outlets, commercial and government infrastructure.
The school has a range of buildings and facilities that provide the physical infrastructure to support our program of learning.
